'7 Gospel Conversations to Have with Mormons This Christmas'
Truth in Love Ministries Blog
Article Content:
Christmas is such a powerful time to witness. The Themes of the season match the truth of the gospel. The conversations are already starting. You simply get to guide them toward grace.
When Christmas Feels Heavy
Christmas is one of the easiest times of the year to talk about
Jesus. People are already thinking about light, gifts, joy, peace, and
the child in the manger. Conversations naturally go deeper. Hearts are
more open. And for many Christians, this season brings a unique desire
to share the good news with the people they care about most.
That includes our Latter-day Saint friends.
They are often surrounded by church programs and Christmas challenges
that encourage them to serve more, shine more, and do more. The LDS Light the World
campaign fills social media feeds with reminders to be better and give
more. On the surface, it looks joyful. But for many, it creates a quiet
pressure that feels familiar to us, too. Christmas becomes another
season where worthiness feels out of reach. And right there, in that
shared heaviness, God opens a door.
Christmas gives us a natural, gentle way to point our LDS friends to
the real hope of the season. Christmas is not about producing light. It
is about the Light coming to us. It is not about proving ourselves to
God. It is about receiving what God has freely given in Jesus.
Christmas is such a powerful time to witness. The themes of the
season match the truth of the gospel. The conversations are already
starting. You simply get to guide them toward grace.
Here are seven simple gospel conversations you can have this
Christmas. They are warm, honest, and centered on the One who came to
give rest to the weary.
The cradle leads to the cross.
The cross leads to the empty tomb.
And the empty tomb leads to peace.
The cross leads to the empty tomb.
And the empty tomb leads to peace.
God Bless you ALL and have a Very Merry Christmas!!
A former NFL quarterback keeps defending the Christianity of Latter-day Saints
By Jacob Hess, 5 days ago
His commentary became a social media magnet for naysayers ready to recap their theological reasons for objecting to the label. But Robert Griffin III (often called RG3 for short), has heard this pushback before.
‘The battle of the Christians’
One year ago, on the day of the BYU Baylor football game in Waco, Texas, on Sep 28, 2024, Griffin posted on social media afterward, “BYU won the battle of the Christians.” In another attempt to correct him, Cameron Kemp posted the same day, “BYU is Mormon bro, not Christian.”
To that, Griffin responded, “Mormons are Christian.”
With that, the floodgates opened up, starting with Latter-day Saints expressing appreciation for the gesture:
Commentary by Admin: Mr Griffin would be wrong, Mormons and Christians do NOT have the same Jesus, therefore Mormons cannot be Christians!! See the link highlighting many differences by Mormon Elders themselves, in Apologetics.
LDS Church makes sizeable donation to Hindu Temple in Utah
By MJ Jewkes, No media credit provided., 1 days ago
KEARNS, Utah (ABC4) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced a large donation to support Utah’s Hindu community.
On Nov. 22, 2025, Elder Matthew S. Holland of the Seventy said the Church would be donating $50,000 to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, an international Hindu organization led by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj.
“This gift is a symbol of the shared vision between BAPS and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — our mutual commitment to strengthening family, uplifting community, and encouraging moral and ethical living,” Kirtan Patel, a volunteer with BAPS, said.
The group has a temple, or mandir, located in Kearns, Utah. The mandir was originally used as a Latter-day Saint meetinghouse before Church leaders presented the building to BAPS. In September, the building was reopened as a sacred Hindu space.
The Secret Rituals of the LDS Temple
Heidi Luv grew up immersed in the LDS church, living a devout Mormon life throughout her childhood, eagerly anticipating the day she would finally go to the temple. However, when that day arrived, the experience was completely different from what she had imagined. The temple rituals and ceremonies challenged everything she thought she knew about her faith. This eye-opening experience forced her to confront the true nature of the LDS church and question the beliefs she had held so deeply. In this interview, Heidi reveals everything she witnessed in the temple, sharing the sacred secrets that are hidden from the public.
John 18:19-21 where Jesus said he did everything in the open and nothing in secret and Acts 26:26 where Paul said he did nothing in a corner.

SALT LAKE CITY (KSL.com) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints says women can now serve missions starting at age 18.
The First Presidency announced Friday that, effective immediately, young women who wish to serve a full-time mission for the church can begin their service at age 18 after graduating from high school.
“While the Lord asks every worthy, able young man as part of his priesthood responsibility to prepare for and serve a mission, we reiterate that missionary service remains an optional opportunity for young women. We recognize that for those young women who desire to serve a full-time mission, the choice of age to begin service will not be the same for everyone,” a statement from the church said.
This change comes just two days after the First Presidency announced the Saturday evening session of general conference will be discontinued.
Historically, men could serve missions at age 19 and women had to be 21, a practice that lasted from the early 1950s until 2012.

A CHRISTIAN REVIEW OF BAD RELIGIONS AND BELIEFS
by Truth and Grace
"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18
For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. Colossians 2:19-20
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10.
Lighthouse: Jerald & Sandra Tanner, Despised and Beloved Critics of Mormonism
Lighthouse: Jerald & Sandra Tanner, Despised and Beloved Critics of Mormonism
Ronald V. Huggins
While some may view Jerald and Sandra Tanner only as despised critics of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it is impossible to trace the course of Mormon history over the past sixty years without acknowledging their contribution. Many both inside and outside of Mormonism respect them for their unflinching quest for truth no matter the cost, as when Jerald declared Mark Hofmann’s notorious Salamander Letter a forgery months before some experts declared it authentic. Their Utah Lighthouse Ministry has operated for decades only blocks from church headquarters, where their many works on Mormonism are still printed and sold. Jerald died in 2006 but Sandra continues to oversee the ministry.
The Tanners consistently challenged the church’s position on many historical issues. Utah Lighthouse was long the only source for Mormon scholars to obtain crucial historical reprints, which they still happily or begrudgingly purchase; for others, the Tanners’ writings have been the source of disillusionment with the church. Despised or beloved, the influence of Jerald and Sandra Tanner cannot be underestimated or ignored.

If you’ve ever tried to “do your part” for God and still wondered whether it was enough, I understand. I’ve been there too—wanting to prove myself, hoping my effort would bridge the gap. But over time, I’ve learned that the good news of the gospel doesn’t start with our effort. It begins with our helplessness—our complete dependence—and with a God who comes all the way to rescue us.
That may sound strange, but it’s the best news you’ll ever hear.
In the latest Jesus Is Enough article, “Why Being Totally Dead Is the Best News You Will Ever Hear,” I share stories that have shown me the depth of grace—stories about golf balls, fairy tales, and cave rescues—all pointing to one truth:
God doesn’t meet us halfway.
He comes all the way.
He doesn’t coach the “mostly alive.”
He resurrects the totally dead.
That’s the heart of grace.
For Conversations with Your LDS Friends and Family
Many of our Latter-day Saint friends think of grace as God’s help in becoming who we’re meant to be—partners in a process of growth and progress. This article can gently open up conversations about how Scripture describes grace not as partnership, but as rescue—a God who does for us what we could never do for ourselves.
If you choose to share this with an LDS loved one, here are a few gentle, reflective questions you could ask:
· “What does it look like for God to come all the way to us instead of meeting us halfway?”
· “How do you see God’s grace at work when we reach the end of our own strength?”
· “How might our choices fit inside a story where God is the One who brings life out of death?”
· “What kind of freedom comes when we trust that God’s work, not ours, is what truly changes us?”
· “How might this view of grace shape how we see our potential and purpose?”
My hope is that this story reminds you, and those you share it with, that Jesus doesn’t make the mostly dead slightly alive. He makes the totally dead truly alive.
And that’s why Jesus is enough.
For his kingdom and glory,
HIS Ministries is operated by a former LDS - (Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints couple); Dennis a sixth generation Mormon, and his wife Rauni an LDS Church Translator. Together they saw problems in Church doctrine which became too much for them to
accept, and Rauni suggested to Dennis that they check them out, once and for all and
compare Mormon doctrine to the doctrine of the Bible to see if they
matched.
Their conclusions can be found in the article What the Truth Is About Mormonism – What You Have Not Been Told.
Together they run HIS Ministries bringing to light the Truth about Mormonism. On the website they also publish a monthly newsletter which highlights the issues of Mormon Doctrine versus Biblical Understanding. The November 2025 is no exception it addresses at least a half a dozen such issues. We invite you to check it out, it is well worth the read!!
