The Temple That Never was Built!

There is an unfortunate legacy of false prophecy related to Joseph Smith, the “prophet” and founder of Mormonism. Just type “False Prophecy of Joseph Smith” into any search engine and you’ll discover what I mean. But there appears to be some confusion surrounding Joseph’s prophesies, and neither Mormons nor non-Mormons seem to examine the claims of prophecy fairly.

LDS Church makes sizeable donation to Hindu Temple in Utah

KEARNS, Utah (ABC4) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced a large donation to support Utah’s Hindu community.
On Nov. 22, 2025, Elder Matthew S. Holland of the Seventy said the Church would be donating $50,000 to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, an international Hindu organization led by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj.

Battle for .07 Acres: Judge rules in favor of pipeline to be built through polygamist church property

WASHAKIE, Utah (ABC4) — A judge has ruled that a gas pipeline may be built through a church property belonging to a well-known polygamist group. Earlier this year, Enbridge, a natural gas provider, filed a lawsuit over .07 acres of land just four miles South of the Idaho-Utah border. The company claimed eminent domain rights to the property in order to build a natural gas pipeline.
