Vigilant Minds had another outstanding Potluck to Celebrate the Christmas Season, it was held on December 4th at Don and Dianne's home. Dozens were in attendance, and we enjoyed a large variety of delicious food, and warm joyous fellowship! If you were not able to attend, we are sorry we missed you, and hope you can make it to the next one this summer.

There is an unfortunate legacy of false prophecy related to Joseph Smith, the “prophet” and founder of Mormonism. Just type “False Prophecy of Joseph Smith” into any search engine and you’ll discover what I mean. But there appears to be some confusion surrounding Joseph’s prophesies, and neither Mormons nor non-Mormons seem to examine the claims of prophecy fairly.

This year, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) will be studying the Old Testament—both personally and in their weekly church and youth studies. This means many of your LDS friends and neighbors will be spending a whole year with some of the most foundational books of the Bible.
